Brant Shrimplin is a founding member and Managing Director of 626 Financial, a Registered Investment Advisor. Brant’s combination of professional experience and strong interpersonal skills have allowed him to build lasting and meaningful client relationships.
Brant’s career in wealth management began in 1999 when he had the unique opportunity to work on the NYSE floor. He expanded his experience in the area of insurance through employment with Hartford Insurance Company. He was able to move home to Kalamazoo in 2002, and built a unique partnership in Wealth Management with his mentor and father at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., with a focus in investment management and insurance.
Brant and Robert left Oppenheimer to fulfill a dream of starting their own company, and opened the doors to 626 Financial on 6/26/2009. Brant’s experience has extended to venture capital and commercial real estate investing, in addition to his traditional wealth management practice, and works with entrepreneurs, executives, and high-net-worth families across the U.S.
Brant graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and holds a Series 65 Investment Advisor Representative license, as well as life and health insurance licenses. Outside of work, Brant enjoys spending time with his family, as he and his wife Lindsay are parents to two active children! Brant enjoys being active, with running and playing sports being favorite activities.
