Brant Shrimplin is a founding member and Managing Director of 626 Financial, a Registered Investment Advisor. Brant’s combination of professional experience and strong interpersonal skills has allowed him to build lasting and meaningful client relationships.
His career in wealth management began in 1999 when he worked in the financial district of New York City at Fahnestock & Co, a nationwide broker/dealer. Although most of his time was spent working within the institutional trading division at Fahnestock & Co, Brant also had the rare opportunity to work on the NYSE floor.
Wanting to learn more about the insurance industry, Brant went on to take a position at Hartford Insurance Company outside of Philadelphia. It was there that Brant learned the important role that insurance can play when delivering a comprehensive financial plan.
In 2002, Brant returned to Kalamazoo, MI to create a unique father/son partnership with his dad, Robert, at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. Brant’s focus at Oppenheimer was primarily in the investment management and insurance arena.
In 2009, Brant and Robert left Oppenheimer to fulfill a long-term dream of starting their own company and opened the doors to 626 Financial on 6/26/2009. Brant specializes with like-minded business owners, corporate executives and senior sales specialists across the US.
Outside of work, Brant enjoys spending time with his family as he and his wife Lindsay are parents to two active children! Brant also enjoys being active whether it be through running or playing sports. Brant graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Brant holds a Series 65 license and also has his life and health insurance licenses.
